Hi. My name is Elizabeth and I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in Texas and Arizona. I am also a certified school counselor and transitioned to mental health counseling full-time after working as a counselor at a high school. I have been working as a counselor for 10 years, primarily in the school setting. Before working as a counselor, I was an elementary teacher for 6 years.

I have experience working with both adults and adolescents. I love seeing my clients understand themselves better and improve their mental health. I feel comfortable counseling people from a variety of backgrounds, especially those whose backgrounds are different than my own. My entire professional career has been spent with a primarily Hispanic population, but I am comfortable with other cultures, as well.

I am a big fan of CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and Solutions-focused therapy, but I try to cater my counseling to each client, so I often incorporate different counseling philosophies as needed. I also know how hard it can be to find a time to meet with a counselor, so I offer limited after-work sessions, for your convenience, in addition to 8am-5pm sessions (CST).

I believe my clients are the experts on their own lives and I want to work with them to improve their contentment, coping skills, and mental health. I believe it is very important and beneficial to have a nonjudgmental, unbiased person to talk to. This is one of the best parts of counseling. I often use humor to lighten the mood when counseling. I find this helps grow my relationships with my clients. Congratulations on making the first step towards counseling by checking out this website. I would love to work with you.

Real Testimonials

  • Best therapy I've ever received, I've always been skeptical about therapy for my ADHD, anxiety, depression, and mental trauma, but with Elizabeth I've learned to manage it all.

  • I love it when someone tells me I’m in the wrong and is just honest with me . She creates a comfortable space to be able to word vomit and express everything no matter how silly it may be and she listens and responds in a very honest and transparent way . I would highly recommend her if you’re someone that will actually listen to the advice given to you .

  • After visiting with four other therapists and couldn’t find a good fit I felt that I “clicked” with Elizabeth from our first visit. She has been a great help so far helping me through my struggles. She even checks in on me to see how my week and weekend are going.

  • She is the best person that I’ve met who’s been able to help me we’ve only had three sessions and I’m already feeling better. I’ve gone my whole life since middle school without friends and it’s three sessions. She got me to break out of my shell and talk to my old friends so I strongly strongly recommend her.

  • Elizabeth has been amazing. She knows the right blend of humor and compassion I need from a therapist and has really helped pull me out of a bad spot in my life.

  • Working with Elizabeth has been the best experience I have ever had with therapy. My life has been changed in so many positive ways in the past several months. She has connected with me in a meaningful way and has struck the perfect balance of supporting me while also pushing me to keep growing. I look forward to our sessions as they're a grounding time. I've renewed my confidence and rediscovered happiness with her help.

  • Elizabeth is awesome. She has helped me so much with reframing my negative thought patterns. She has really good ideas for creative ways to help me to handle my anxiety, and also genuinely cares. I would highly recommend her as a therapist!

  • Elizabeth has changed my life and I’m so thankful. She is kind, thoughtful and supportive and also challenges me. I genuinely appreciate her insight and expertise and I’m so glad to have such a wonderful therapist.

  • Elizabeth is a fantastic listener, has down to earth insights, and makes conversation flow easily. As someone with social anxiety and an introverted personality type, I often find it quite difficult opening up about my feelings to others. However, I have felt at great ease speaking with Elizabeth from Day 1. One thing I greatly appreciate is how she challenges me to turn my negative self-talk and anxious feelings back on themselves — "putting them on trial," as she puts it. I've never had a therapist before who made me feel so much like I was confiding in a longtime friend, rather than speaking to some rigid, impersonal professional. I would highly recommend Elizabeth's services to anyone seeking an empathetic and thoughtful person to help with anything you might be going through on your mental health journey.
